Early Fall Creek Walk

Warmer temperatures on Sunday, so Jenna and I decided to do a creek walk and enjoy the day.

So much to discover along this stretch of the Skippack Creek – we walked the creek for a while then hiked along the ridge overlooking the creek.

 

 

Sand Shark Surf Fishing

Nice shark caught on the Delaware Bay surf fishing.  These little guys put up a heck of a fight!

King George II Halfpenny - 1746 to 1754

Metal detecting in the heat of July! Dug this King George II Halfpenny at an old farm site with my new detecting buddy Trevor.  Shame the date cannot be made out. It was an extremely hot day - quit by noon.

Father's Day Weekend at Bower's Beach

Fun weekend with the family at Bowers Beach. Fishing was great Saturday - caught lots of croakers and Jenna got a nice trout!

Easter Sunday Metal Detecting

Easter Sunday 2013 - Did some metal detecting in the late afternoon rain.  Dug up a Colonial copper - I believe it is a King George III, dated around mid-1700's.  Check out the telephone pole I came across in the middle of the woods.

A Few Finds Under the Floor

Removing the old floor boards from the garage this weekend I found a few early 1900's items - A whiskey flask and an old spoon.  The flask is dated around 1920. Can't wait to see what the rest of the project will uncover.

October on the Perkiomen Creek

Beautiful day on the Perkiomen Creek - Chris and I did some kayaking and fishing.
